2 for 1 on blogs

So here is the weekend update. Last Christmas I paid for Dan to get 3 flight lessons. Its something he has always talked about and while I think that he think the gift rocked he hadn't gotten around to using them yet. So after getting much crap from his wife he set up his appointment. Kyler wanted to go. He cried so we asked and they said he and I could go. We flew to Gold Beach and back in like an hour. Dan flew most of the time except during the take off and landing and when the instructor was showing us what stalls are. Just on a side note Mary does NOT like stalls. Kyler however finds them extremely entertaining. After enjoying stalls and the view Kyler fell asleep. Add that to the list of things Kyler has fallen asleep on. A jet boat ride, a dune buggy ride and now in the airplane. It was great fun . I didn't get a picture of Dan cause he was all serious business and directly in front of me so all I would have got was the back of his head.

The Patch

So the picture part of blogger was down and I just can't seem to post a blog without pictures. So lets go back a little. Kyler and I went to the pumpkin patch on Friday. We had a great time. I just love Seven Oaks its so clean and everything is decorated up so cute. A nice lady offered to take mine and Kyler's picture there. Its a great picture but I should have taken out of portrait mode cause everything around us is clear while we are a little blurry. It was nice of her none the less. So thank you kind stranger. We got 3 pumpkins not sure what I was thinking there cause that's gonna be a lot of work. Maybe I'll let Kyler paint one.

A little photo shoot

Kyler and I took a little walk along the property yesterday and I took some pictures. This one is my favorite from all the rest. Doesn't he look precious? I think so but I am pretty partial.

Dan got his birthday present early yesterday cause the silly mail carrier put a slip saying that Dan had a package. Well really Mary had a package. Which wouldn't have been to bad cause Dan wouldn't open it. But the invoice was taped to the package stating what was inside and how much it cost. Ugh! So I just opened and let him have it yesterday. It is a leather jacket by the way, he looks super sexy in it. So I can not post a picture ;)

Layouts for the Crop

As I promised here are the layouts from the crop. I got 7 total done which I thought wasn't too bad at all.

This was a Blue Print Challenge from Amy Elkins. I won the challenge along with two other people and we got Amy's book Layout Blueprints 2.

This and the next two are part of a class I am taking on Big Picture scrapbooking.

So Excited...

I went to the Southern Oregon Expo yesterday. They had lots of vendors and make and takes. And it was great event. I also signed up for the crop later that night from 1 to 10 pm. The crop was so nice. Each and every person won a little something. And for the challenges the ladies running the event went and picked out 3 of their favorites and then the rest of the croppers voted on those 3, very diplomatic. At most crops its just based on votes from the croppers and the group with the most croppers wins everything wether they deserve the win or not. They also had a scrap celebrity Amy Elkins, cool huh. Anyway. I had a blast as you can see, but one top of that they did a drawing for a Cricut and I won! I won the best prize of the night the Cricut. I have been wanting one since last Christmas. I am so, so, SO jazzed. The lady that put this on did a great job. I'll have to post my 7 layouts later. I am too busy playing with my new toy.

How we spent the weekend...

Working on the deck. Dan was a complete slave driver this weekend and I was the slave. It might have been the last nice weekend of the year so we spent the time finishing the railing for the deck. It does look nice but it took us two days to finish and Dan had to stay home this morning and stain it. We still have two large steps left the skirting and staining the deck itself.

Now I am feeling run down. Kyler has had a cough for a week or so now but never came down with anything, So maybe he got me sick and maybe the deck just plain wore me out.

I finished reading the "Unofficial Guide to Disney World with Kids" during the breaks in time when I had to wait for Dan for the next step on the deck. I am SO excited now. I feel like I am somewhat knowledgeable about Disney too.

Just a little update.

Life has been hectic. I don't have much time to update because I need to pick Kyler up in like two minutes from school. Here is a picture of him with my tripod, he thinks he can use it like a camera. He has been going around taking pictures of me, telling me to say cheese and making a shutter noise. Its pretty darn cute. He also has been singing up a storm these days. He is learning lots of new songs at school. He still really likes school, I think it is one of the best things I could have done for him. Well I better go pick him up. I think we will go to the park since its nice and then to Ray's and pick up something for dinner.
