3

Many birthday wishes for my little guy today. He turns 3. We are having his birthday party tomorrow and driving up for my great niece Kirra's party. They share the same birthday.

We had a little morning birthday celebration with just the 3 of us. Kyler got a cupcake and to open a few presents.

On a entirely different subject. I watched Oprah yesterday, she had Sean Penn on a he was promoting his new movie Into the Wild. I had never heard the story of Christopher McCandless. Very interesting stuff. I am not sure if he was stupid or a genius. I am thinking maybe a combination of both. But I have to admire him for stepping out of the box and having a little adventure. Makes me think I should be more adventuress, not to his extreme but something. I think I may read the book. Anyway I gotta go get ready to head up to RB and Party down with Kirra. :)

For those who have noticed...

My weight ticker hasn't moved. I seem to be holding steady at minus 31. When the gym closed for a week for club scrub it threw me off schedule so I am having a hard time getting back on the exercise band wagon and I have not been making very good food choices. But hope to remedy one and then both of these issues soon. I made it to the gym twice this week and have every intention of going tomorrow. So that one step in the right direction. Just thought I would share and maybe someone out there could give my booty a kick start.

Joss Stone @ Britt

I took my dad to a Joss Stone concert on Thursday. He really likes her and his birthday is this month so I treated him. Britt is a small venue over in Jacksonville. It only holds about 2,200 people so its very intimate a great place to watch a great concert. We were not suppose to take photos so here is my one sneaky attempt. The opening act was Ryan Shaw. He was fantastic and I have been listening to his music every since. Joss was very entertaining as well.

School House

School house that's what my dear Jay always referred to school as. "Its time for school house." "Time to go to sleep so you can wake up for school house." All the way up until I graduated. Now he is going to be picking my son up from school house. My time have changed :) Anyway Kyler is at school house right now as I type this. Neither one of us cried which is good. He just went right to playing as Dan and I made our exit. I imagine in about another half hour he will turn around and notice we are gone. :) I like the school already, they gave us print out of what the kids schedule is and what they are going to be doing. I don't have to wonder. And they took pictures of us coming through the door.

Anyway I am going to go enjoy some of this free time I have by cleaning up the kitchen. Here are a couple more pictures for you enjoyment.

And I got one scrapbook page done...

Pictures from the weekend

We had the Shields Family visit this weekend. Dan's sister, her husband and their two girls. (for those who don't know). We went over to the Oregon Caves. Kyler was too little to go in so we hung out outside while the rest of the group went in.

Then we headed down to Cresent City and hung out on the beach a little while. Here Kirsten highlighting a sign we were all about to ignore in a minute.

These are Kyler's little footprints in the sand. Have I mentioned that I love my new camera and I haven't even read the manual yet.
The way cool playground in Cresent City. I wish we had one like this. It had everything.
