Last swim...Yes its my last swim...

Yesterday night was Kyler's very last progress. We went from crying and whining to lots of swim and giggles. He jumped of the diving board all on his own last night. I think he really loves jumping in the water. I say no he is dangerous. The fear is mostly gone and now he just like the water. Dan and Grandma Sandy went to cheer him on. My mom was truly astonished by how young some of the kids are swim class. He has made amazing in the group and how well they swim or dive.
I am on a interview panel today at work for the new supervisor position. So I guess I better go beautify myself. Here are a couple more pictures from last night.

Tom and Jerry and My husband rocks!

Here is a picture of Kyler watching Tom and Jerry. I know, I know, it was too violent. But just loves it! He seriously cracks up over it.

Now on to my husband rocking. I have been eyeing an SLR camera for a long time now but they are so darn expensive. I drool over them at Costco and just about everywhere else we go. Well yesterday I am sitting at home and the doorbell rings and there a delivery guy outside. He says are you Mary Edwards. Ya. Can you sign for this? Ya. I am think I don't remember ordering anything. Its too heavy to be scrapbooking stuff. Dan bought me a Digital Rebel XTI. Oh it so rocks and Dan does too! I love it, I love it, I LOVE IT! I have been carrying it around ever since. And the quality is fantastic. Off to go take some more pictures!

Redding

We went to the Water Works Park in Redding yesterday for the heck of it. We had so much fun! Dan loves the Avalanche ride there. He must have rode it like 5 times. Anyway I'll make this short and sweet so I can go clean. Here are some pictures from yesterday.

Life Saving Day

Here are some pictures from Life Saving day at swim class. The kids have to wear their everyday clothes so they can feel how much heavier the clothes get when wet. They also do stuff with their life jacket. Last night was the last day of the first session. Dan came to watch and Kyler did great! I told Dan he was going to have to come every week. We have two more weeks to go.

I forgot to mention that I enrolled Kyler in Preschool. He will be going 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours. We both are very excited. The lady that runs the Preschool used to run the Merlin Scrapbook store so Kyler and I both know her fairly well.

Just the facts...

Hey Boys and Girls! Life has been hectic lately around the Edwards residence.
One of our renters moved so this last week has been all about that. Cleaning and painting and what not. I do not enjoy being a landlord at times like theses.
Then Kyler has been taking a swim class for the last week and a half. He isn't really enjoying it which makes life hard. We will be going all this month so hopefully he will get better at it. He really has come along way already.
Well I am tired so I'll leave you at that. Here are a couple of pictures from the end of July. We went to a friends wedding and this was on the ride back home. The second picture is Kyler's first attempt at taking someone's picture, I think I may have a budding photographer on my hands.

I get to stay!

Well I get to stay another year at the position. Which takes a load of my mind! Disneyland may be back on the table. Sweet! Dan is going to have a meeting on Friday and will be more sure of Disneyland after that. Thanks for all the wishes!

Been a bad blogger...

Hi Kids! I have been a very bad blogger lately. We have had a family member here in one shape or form. Tonight is the first night of just me Dan and Kyler. Ahhhh! So quite right now. Kyler has yet to wake up from his nap and Dan's not home yet. I should be scrapin' but hey it will come. I finished up this layout a week or so ago. Its pretty darn cute!! If I must say so myself.


Dan went to Seattle for two days, to meet with Microsoft big wigs! They want more stuff from them! And soon! So we may have to postpone our Disney vacation. Maybe in January or February. We have to go though I bought scrapbook stuff! Other than the vacation postponement the meeting went great. I am so proud of Dan! The geek I met back when he was 20 has come a long way. He is still a geek, good thing I like him that way ;)

Scrapin'

Life unscripted

So... Its been a while. I find it so hard to write about negative stuff. Friday, I found out that I may or may not have a job after July 24. The funding for my position has been cut. My supervisor is looking at what options we have. She is trying to find a way to keep me in my current position or maybe she will make another position a job share. Not sure. Or I may not have anything at all. Its been way stressful. As much as working there can suck and does on occasion, I can not see myself being anywhere else. I was very upset on Friday and have been trying to be positive about the whole thing. I love my hours, I love the people... Well most of them. On the home front all is well. I am thinking about taking Kyler outside for a little sun, maybe filling up the kiddie pool and washing the car.

Scraplift

Here is a scraplift I did using this month's personalscrapper.com kit. I really like the way it turned out. At first I was kinda wondering if the pictures would go with the colors in the paper but I think the pare is very versatile.

Fishing

I went scrapbooking today. I got one layout done and made a gift for a friend who is getting married. Kyler and Dan went to the Free kids fishing derby at Lake Selmac. Kyler caught his first fish ever. A blue gill 5 inches long. They didn't get the weight because they let it go. Dan says he pretty much totally caught it on his own. Dan caught one too a trout. I am going to cook it up for dinner tonight. They seemed to have a good time. The two of them are currently napping on the couch together. Well I better go start on that trout.

Wild Rogue Balloon Festival - NIght glow

It was a busy Saturday! We worked on the deck in the morning pouring cement for the stair footing. I mixed the two out of the five bags we needed. Then we went to a Birthday party, came back to the house took naps and made some picnic dinner to take to the Wild Rogue Balloon Festival. This is our 3rd year of going, its always lots of fun. They have kites for the kids, a live band and of course the balloons.
