Sunday Six

Some of these are from last Sunday at Frog O Faire. But most are from this week. The last one I just took this morning.

Scrapin'

Life unscripted

So... Its been a while. I find it so hard to write about negative stuff. Friday, I found out that I may or may not have a job after July 24. The funding for my position has been cut. My supervisor is looking at what options we have. She is trying to find a way to keep me in my current position or maybe she will make another position a job share. Not sure. Or I may not have anything at all. Its been way stressful. As much as working there can suck and does on occasion, I can not see myself being anywhere else. I was very upset on Friday and have been trying to be positive about the whole thing. I love my hours, I love the people... Well most of them. On the home front all is well. I am thinking about taking Kyler outside for a little sun, maybe filling up the kiddie pool and washing the car.

Scraplift

Here is a scraplift I did using this month's personalscrapper.com kit. I really like the way it turned out. At first I was kinda wondering if the pictures would go with the colors in the paper but I think the pare is very versatile.

Fishing

I went scrapbooking today. I got one layout done and made a gift for a friend who is getting married. Kyler and Dan went to the Free kids fishing derby at Lake Selmac. Kyler caught his first fish ever. A blue gill 5 inches long. They didn't get the weight because they let it go. Dan says he pretty much totally caught it on his own. Dan caught one too a trout. I am going to cook it up for dinner tonight. They seemed to have a good time. The two of them are currently napping on the couch together. Well I better go start on that trout.

Friday 5

With no further adue I present my Friday 5.
Kyler watching Scooby Doo. Its his fave at the moment.

One of our many lizard friends. They love hanging out in my flower beds.

I couldn't resist this one. Kyler's little plumbers crack.

Dan getting his fishing rod ready for tomorrow. He is going to take kyler to the Kids fishing derby.

Kyler checking on his rod making sure it ready too.

Wild Rogue Balloon Festival - NIght glow

It was a busy Saturday! We worked on the deck in the morning pouring cement for the stair footing. I mixed the two out of the five bags we needed. Then we went to a Birthday party, came back to the house took naps and made some picnic dinner to take to the Wild Rogue Balloon Festival. This is our 3rd year of going, its always lots of fun. They have kites for the kids, a live band and of course the balloons.

1 layout

I did a scrapbook layout for a challenge on personalscrapper.com. It went together pretty quick and easy. I like the way it turned out.

Coast Trip

We started off the trip with an impromptu ride on the Sandland Adventures dune buggy. Here is Kyler waiting for the ride. While we were waiting
we did a bumper boat ride.

I rocked! I got Dan and Kyler a lot more than they got me. They were wet and I wasn't. Hehe. Here are the three of us before the ride started. We had a blast! Kyler loved it when we went down the hills fast. He did however fall asleep before the ride was over.

Kyler and me on the beach outside our hotel.

My sandy boy. He was so sandy after playing on the beach.

Then we went to the Newport Aquarium. We got there very early in the morning and had the place mostly to ourselves. It was a great time to go. Here is Kyler with the Jellies. He knew what the were are started to tell me about the part they play in on Nemo. And he is Kyler with a Sea Otter.

Then we headed up to Seaside. We spent the evening walking around the town, riding rides, and playing on the beach. The three of us enjoyed the Tilt a whirl. Kyler and I giggled almost the whole time.

Kyler sleeping.

We finally made it up to Astoria! Drove up to the Astoria column. It was about 8:30pm. I think this was a nice time to go here too. We walked all the way up the 140 something stairs. Great view from up there.

We made our way to Ft. Clatsop the winter camp for Lewis and Clark. Then we headed up to Ft. Stevens.

We toured Ft. Stevens in a n old Army truck. Kyler started to have some melt downs at this point. He didn't want to walk anymore.

Peter Iredale a shipwreck in Ft. Stevens .
We then stopped for a very short visit in Aloha and then we drove I-5 home. And it took forever. Got home at 11:30

FRIDAY FIVE

This Friday five I thought I would focus on this Friday in our lives. This is what's going on in our house tonight.
The flowers are starting to take off.

Our dinner tonight. Breakfast for dinner.

First 20

I don't know how many of you have noticed my weight ticker. But its above this blog. About the middle of January I decide to make some changes to my lifestyle. I increased the number of times I went to the gym each week and I made some changes to my diet. Starting slowly I have managed to take off 20 lbs. Which may seem like a small feat to some. I have always been heavy and but this has been hard and I just wanted to take a moment and celebrate myself. Good Job Mary!!

Sick again!

Well either Dan gave it back to me or I managed to will it away so I could scrapbook. I don't know but cold I started to come down with before is back.

Also on Mothers day Kyler somehow injured his knee or his leg and wouldn't walk on it. all night. He was crawling to the potty to toys. I called the on call doctor and they told me if he was still doing it the next day to bring him. So the next morning I took the day off from work because he wasn't walking. Just as we were about to leave he walked a little bit. We got to the doctors and he walked for the doctor. The doctor said he probably sprained or pulled a muscle. He still limps on it occasionally. But he is fine. He did manage to do this to his face yesterday. The pen went from ear to ear.

I guess I should go eat some breakfast and clean up the house a bit. Maybe today will be the day the week turns around :) cause so far it sucks

Happy Mother's Day to me!
