Portland

Well my computer hasn't been working so just a little backtracking here. The weekend of the 17th-19th we went up to Portland to visit the in laws. Took Some pictures of my nieces. Got a breathtaking one of Anna. I just love her eyes in the picture. Also got this one of Julia...
Two very pretty girls.

We went to OMSI had an alright time. It always sounds like more fun than it really is. But Kyler had a good time. Dan went snowboarding with his dad at Mt. Hood. He was up there the day that those climber got stuck up on the mountain overnight.

Then this last weekend Ryan, Sheryl, Kirra and Ricky came down to visit . Dan and the boys went Snowboarding again this time to Mt. Shasta. This time it was Dan that got stuck they got stuck on the way coming back on for about an hour on I-5. Took some pictures of Kirra. This was the best one because she moved but I still really like it cause she is smiling so much.

Valentines Day on the way

I worked on Dan's Valentine gift last night. Its a coupon book. Its way cute . I think its even better in real person than these pictures.
The coupons pull out from pockets I made by putting two pieces of cardstock together.
It was pretty easy to make and I think he will like it. Its hard to buy for a man that has everything. Here are some of the pages, coupons and the back.

Just a little fun

So not a whole lot has really happened here lately. Yesterday I spent time with my girls Leann and Cynthia. Cyndy made us way yummy Chicken enchiladas. Very yummy indeed... Homemade salsa. It was shockingly easy.

While we were doing that Dan worked on getting the Quad up and running all day. He finally got it to run this morning. Kyler rather enjoyed his little ride. I was worried about him falling off.

Tuesday I have to work on Dan's Valentine Gift... Been slacking on that. Then Friday or Saturday I am heading up to Portland to visit the in laws :)

IShuffle love

So I worked out today... *applause* My friend Cynthia helped get me back on board. Although I woke up this morning tired and not wanting to get up and go. I dragged my sorry butt there anyway. So Cyndy thank you if you weren't there this morning believe me I wouldn't have been.

So besides my dear Cynthia my favorite thing about working out has to be my IShuffle. I think they are the best invention EVER!! Well it ranks close up there next to my Tivo. My shuffle is tiny and it hold 240 songs. It rocks! Kyler likes it too. We often share it he get one headphone and I get the other. I am thinking of doing a scrapbook page about the two of us sharing like that.

Some more snow...

So who needs to travel for snow? Dan and I traveled two hours for snow and now its snowing here. I took Kyler out to run around in it. He seemed to have fun... He thought he was the king of the snowballs. This was one that I made and threw at him. He picked it back up and was chasing me with it.

I think his Elmo hat and gloves are so darn cute...

One Snowy Birthday

Hi there!

Well I am officially 27 years old now and as Leisa said "Holy Shit". I informed her that that wasn't nice to say when someone tells you how old
they are. She said if I am that old it makes her even older. That made me feel much better. No matter how old I get she will still be much older... hehe... I am just imaging her reading that. Anyway, I don't feel older at all. Ask me when I turn 30.

Dan took me and Kyler sledding for my birthday. We thought that Kyler wouldn't like it all that much. He surprised us both. We got up to Union Creek and played around for about an
hour. Then Kyler was getting grumpy so we went to lunch at Beckies. Which I normally love but the service was bad and I mean bad. Then we went back out to Union Creek and spent another hour up there till Kyler had enough and told us he wanted to go home.

My mommy made me dinner so we went over there and had another one of my fav's Chicken fried steak. The service was much better than Beckies. Love you mommy. So all and all it was an excellent birthday. I got lots of money gifts this year which I am going to use at the Croptime Retreat in May.

Here are some more pictures from sledding:

So now what...

So I am going to try and use my blog more often and for something other than house updates. Our Christmas was a good one. For my big present Dan bought me a couch. He bought it for me after Thanksgiving. I got Dan flight lessons, he has always talked about getting his pilot license. I only got him 3 lessons so he can figure out if its something he is really interested. We got Kyler a sled. We plan on taking him up to Union Creek sometime here in January. Lets hope he likes it. Last year he wasn't so big on the snow. When we had snow here in Grants Pass, he went out and walked around but as soon as his hand touched the cold wet snow he was done. Kyler got tons of nice stuff from everyone. He got a drum set from Grandma and Grandpa Edwards and Big monster truck from Grandma and a Spiderman doll from Grandpa. This year was so much more fun because he actually opened his own stuff. He did however get overwhelmed after a while and decide he longer wanted to open anything else so about halfway thru at my mom's I had to open the rest. We also got him a car bed. I wasn't quite ready for him to transition for the crib to the bed but Kyler was so excited we let him that night and he hasn't slept in the crib since. Potty training is a whole other issue. He doesn't seem into it at all. Still loving the new house. I can't wait for spring so we can landscape and have the deck built.

Last house update

We are done!!! Yeah!! WooHoo!!! I am so happy and a bigger part of me is so relieved. Building a house sounds like such a fun prospect at the time but even when you are not doing it yourself there is a lot of work to do. So many things to decide on and its not like you can get whatever you want, well atleast we couldn't. We had price restraints. But I think overall things came out great. We started moving in on Nov. 18 and had Thanksgiving here on the 23rd. Do we know how to move or what? :) There are still lots of things left to do like the deck, finishing off the bonus room and tons of landscaping. We plan on having to do that ourselves or hire someone else. Anyway I hope thats enough for now. Just updating cause I was asked.

Doors, Siding, a Roof Oh My!

Its been a while since I posted about the house. In someways we have come a long way and it others we have an even longer way to go. The outside is looking great we got Dan's fancy beam in the front, the nice door we picked out a while a go. The siding is mostly done. All the windows are in except one because thats the window they are going to bring things in a out of. The inside on the other had is still pretty raw. Dan finished up his part of the wiring which took longer than he thought. The electrian took like 2 to 3 weeks to do his part. The plumber is not completely done which was not his fault. We had some issues with the shower in the master bath. Because the designer just puller the wall sizes out of the top of his head the shower was going to have to be a custome size and cost over twice as much we finally decide to take out the walls coupletely and go with a standard corner shower. After all this the finished up the week by putting up the insulation so hopefull we are on our way to drywall. Drywall is suppose to be the half way point to having a complete house.

Holy House Batman

They were doing stuff so fast that I couldn't keep up with all the changes this picture actually is out dated considering most of the house siding is on now. All the the windows are in except for the one on the left in the front they won't put that in till the sheet rock is all in. It is coming along quickly now things should slow down a bit. We picked out the fireplace and the cabinets. For the fireplace we got the Spectra Lennox its really nice!! And we got alder cabinets with a light reddish stain also super nice!

Here is Kyler checking out the plans. I loves this picture he really looks like he is talking about the plans and the house. He loves it out there. He is always rolling around in the dirt making what has been named dirt angels.

Lots of Walls

Well once again they have done a whole bunch of work on the house all in one week. On Saturday the house had some of the bottom floor exterior walls up. Here is my dad, Dan and Kyler standing by what is the will be the front door. But then I went out yesterday and we have a second floor and lots lots more walls. most of the interior walls were in and Dad said he saw the people for the truses out there. So maybe soon well have the roof to match our walls. It really exciting now cause when you walk around you know what room you are in what the view will be from that room its just really cool. The view in the master bedroom is awesome!! Well here is a veiw from the outside yesterday. On a topic unrealted to the house I will be going back to work at Child Welfare here soon. They called me the other day and I going to be working part time as soon as they get my background check back. It pretty happy! Kyler will be going to my moms during the time I will be working.

What a mess!

Hi there family and friends! Kyler and I took a little drive out to the house yesterday. No one was there working but it looked like they had been out there working pretty hard. The plumbing and heating was put in. The floor is in and it looks like they are working on framing the walls. So fun. We picked a nice tan color for the house. Dan and I were both drawn to greys but didn't feel like that would fit with the woods backdrop. We went with white for the trim color. We also got to pick out the windows, the garage door, the front door and the roof color. I can't wait to pick out some of the interior stuff.

At the Adele house we had granite countertops put in to hopefully compete with some of the newer houses in the area. It looks really nice and I like the clean up . We had one of those under mount sinks put it so you can just brush the crumbs right in to the sink. We haven't had a whole lot of interest and we have been told by a couple of different people that the market is softening a bit.

We had an okay 4th, Kyler got a little sick. I think from the heat. We went to the Silvercreek BBQ and had some good food but had to leave early when Kyler started not feeling well.
Anyway I am off to go clean.

I command you to dig me a hole

I went out to the property on Monday and they have started serious work on it. I knew they were suppose to start that day but I didn't expect to see that much when I went out. They knocked down a shed that was where our front yard will be.

They cut down the 5 trees that were in the middle of our house. Then they started cutting the pad for the foundation. It was way exciting!!

On the drive home I was asking Dan who is rarely excited if he was and his response was makes me feel kinda powerful. I was like what? and he said I have people now to do things for me, like I command you to dig me a hole and they do!
